Welcome to our class website.  Let me introduce myself.  This is my 17th year of teaching, and all of them have been here at Longest.  I am a National Board Certified Teacher in Reading/Language Arts.  The schools that have equipped me for life are South Carrollton Elementary, Central City High School, Owensboro Business College, University of Kentucky at Madisonville Community College, and Western Kentucky University. 

Now the fun facts!  I am married to Mike Vinson, and we have four grown-up, married children.  We also have seven beautiful grandchildren--five boys and two girls, ages 9, 7, 6, 4, 2, 2, and 1.   I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, swimming, boating, jet skiing, teaching Sunday School, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats!

I love teaching kids, and I learn from them every day.  This year's class is such a pleasure.  They are very motivated and respectful learners.  I know you are proud.

We welcome our student teacher from Murray State University, Ms. Jamie Putman!  She will be with us for several weeks this winter, and we are looking forward to learning with her.
